The Town of Prescott Wisconsin
Prescott, a charming historic town settled in 1840, is located at the confluence of the St.Croix and Mississippi Rivers. Activities center around the rivers and the pleasures of country life. Bird watching is a very popular sport as well as fishing and boating.
There is a public boat launch in town and also a public dock which provides short term docking for visitors. Our two beaches are great for sunning and swimming. Explore our quaint shops
and antiques or stop at the local farm market and take home assorted fresh fruits and vegetables. Prescott is conveniently located 35 minutes from the Minneapolis/St.Paul International Airport.

Shady Grove......A true hidden treasure! Local and fresh ingredients all homemade to perfection. Only 20 minutes to this chef owned gem, if you don't get behind a tractor.

Boating...The St. Croix and Mississippi welcome boats of all kinds, from canoeing to sail boats, yachts and more.... Prescott has a public boat launch. Short term docking is available. Come and experience the beauty of the rivers.
Great River Road...Prescott is the northern gateway to The WI Great River Road National Scenic Byway.
Afton Alps...Whether it's winter skiing/snowboarding or summer golf and mountain biking, Afton Alps has them all. Only 11 miles from our door, no need to be on the road a long time before or after your visit.
Fischer's Croix Farm Orchard ...How about picking some fresh fruit?
Kinnickinnic State Park ...Only a 12 minute drive is this beautiful park. The Kinnickinnic River, a cold water trout stream, forms a large, sandy delta where it flows into the St. Croix River. This day-use park features river scenery, trails meandering through tall grass prairies and upland forests, a large swim area and boat-in camping.
Big Pike Mike ...Guided fishing excursions in Wisconsin and Minnesota. All the necessary gear is provided (or you can bring your own). Plus take home pictorial digital CD of your day.

Freedom Park Visitors Center ... Stroll Freedom Park's trails and enjoy scenic overlooks high above the Mississippi River. Marvel at eagles soaring above the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers. Enjoy the native-plant demonstration gardens and a prairie restoration in progress. Explore the unique stories of this region through hands-on, audio-visual exhibits. Just a 5 minute drive to this new, clean and highly informational center and park. Enjoy spectacular views of both the St Croix River and the Mighty Mississippi River. You can take in some fantastic bird watching as well.

Ellsworth Co-op Creamery ...Welcome to the Cheese Curd Capital Of The World (Wisconsin anyway). A nice 20 minute drive along rolling hills gets you to the freshest curds we've ever had.
St Croix Off Broadway Dinner Theatre ...Check out these fun plays and dinners. Only a 20 minute drive north.
Alexis Bailly Vineyard ...Enjoy some wine across the bridge near Hastings MN...15 minutes is all it takes to get to this award winning vineyard/winery.
A little further away
Minneapolis MN ... Take a day trip into the great city of Minneapolis. (35 minute drive) Here you will find an abundance of shopping at the Mall of America, gourmet dining, theatre, the mighty Mississippi and Mary Tyler Moore!
St. Paul MN ... (25 minute drive) Tour the St. Paul Cathedral with its magnificent architecture and stained glass, Take a "River and Roots Tour" where your guide (in costume) will share Saint Paul's close relationship with the river as well as how it aided in the growth of the region.
