A fabulous outdoor dining experience here in Western WI.

With the parents visiting from Colorado this last week, we decided to get out and go to a couple of places that some of our guests from the Minneapolis area have told us about. One of these places was only a short 35 minutes east of us. Vino In The Valley is the place and is truly a do not miss eatery in the Western Wisconsin, Twin Cities area. Much more than just an Italian restaurant, this place has a little something for everyone. We saw bikers, families, friends and lovers all enjoying the beautiful grounds. There are different kinds of lawn games to enjoy for any age. There's also a nice walking path that leads down to the river to enjoy either while you are waiting or after your Italian feast.

This would be a great dining option while visiting western Wisconsin and staying at the Arbor Inn Bed and Breakfast.

With the price of gas so unbelievable these days, this may be a word you have heard.

For those of you who have not, here is the basic definition or premiss of the word: (probably not found in any dictionary) Staycation: A vacation where one stays near their home and enjoys what there area has to offer instead of traveling far away to a different demographic.

This is something that Deb and I have really never done but ours eyes have been opened now that we are in Prescott, WI with our bed and breakfast. A while back we were at a local event and met people who have lived in Western Wisconsin all of their lives. We were thrilled telling them about all the great things we had found here in Pierce County and how awesome this area is. They all looked at us kind of funny and then told us that they had forgotten all of the things here that we had mentioned because when they went on vacation, they always went far away.
Now they are talking about staycations and we have even had people stay with us from right here in Prescott. There's no need to travel far. Just step through the doors of this Western Wisconsin 1902 B&B and let the stress melt away. Maybe after your four course breakfast you can head to a familiar fishing hole since you are staying so close to home. Then back to the inn for a nice relaxing evening on one of the covered patios or around the fire pit.
