We are always thrilled to bid farewell to winter and embrace the signs of summer, especially when seasonal businesses re-open their doors. We had a chance to run down the river about 35 minutes and pay a visit to this fantastic ice cream shop along the railroad tracks. They offer great sandwiches and...of course..fantastic ice cream, shakes and malts. This little shop is such a treat that even many trains will "stop in their tracks" to get a tasty bite. Flat Pennies even offers a caboose to host parties and other events. The story behind this delicious stop was also an inspiration for a childrens book entitled Climb Aboard by Susan Huppert.
